Hello all 244,450 of you!!! New research shows that on average, we will spend £492 a year on sanitary products. What's more? We are taxed for this luxury. Why? Because of an outdated tax that even our Prime Minister opposes. It's time to act! And this new statistic will help us end tampon tax, PERIOD! Over a course of a lifetime we will spend an average of £18,450 dealing with menstruation. Over £922 of this will go straight to the taxman. Never have we needed to combat sanitary tax more! A few other updates... 1) THANKS TO YOU the European Parliament have told us that they have been 'inundated' with responses and questions about their inquiry into gender equality across the Union (the one that you sent to your MEPs). They said they have never seen anything like it! Now they have no choice but to listen to us when they return in September. 2) We have almost hit the QUARTER OF A MILLION mark!
