Review Policy on Rabbit Welfare

The Issue

The welfare policy covering the welfare of pet rabbits in the UK has not been updated since 2006.

The policy does not specify minimum hutch sizes/requirements, does not ensure rabbits are kept in pairs and states that somebody as young as 16 can buy a rabbit unsupervised.

Over 67,000 rabbits are abandoned every year, in the UK alone.  This is because owners do not realise the responsibility they have taken on with a new pet rabbit.  Ensure this is changed by adding your signanture and calling for a policy review to happen NOW!
