The 59% of people in this country who have said they are Christians (according to the last census) would like to have a choice as to whether they would prefer to eat meat that has been slaughtered according to a medieval custom, or something more civilised and less stressful and cruel to the animal. Therefore we would request that all meat slaughtered by any form of religious ritual process be clearly labelled as such, whether or in shop, restaurant or wholesale establishment
