We represent animal welfare worldwide and it is our intention to inform you that we intend to lobby all our European members of parliament to the abhorrent practice of animal trafficking. The level at which this has grown and allowed to go unregulated is appalling, and with vast amounts of money changing hands. Canines are trafficked from Eastern Europe from unregistered breeders with no health checks or vaccination . We have had reports that pups as young as 4- 5 weeks old are being transported to Spain and are subjected to horrendous treatment. Inadequate ventilation in vehicles, crates stacked upon each other allowing feces and urine to soak animals on a lower level. Water and food stops on the journey sometimes none existent. 50% of these animals don't survive the journey and combined with the aforementioned are a risk for harbouring more serious diseases. Upon reaching their destination these puppies are then put in shop windows, again this is not suitable. Often the puppy is exposed to the heat from the window , inadequate shade and ventilation not being provided. €600 of untaxed money per pup depending on the breed change hands. We call upon the Spanish and European parliament to stop this unregulated practice so these people are not permitted to profit from these poor animals. We would like to see 1 A minimum age for transportation set at ? 2 licenced breeders submitting health / vet checks 3 licenced and approved transportation in animal carriage, with vehicles fit for purpose. 4 The displaying / selling of animals in shop windows to stop 5 A code of conduct and animals rights act e escribimos para empezar una petición y aumentar la conciencia sobre una práctica que ha llegado a nuestra atención y esta creciendo a niveles inaceptables. Estamos hablando del tráfico de animales y el revender de perros NO registrados, quienes a veces, no han sido inoculados. Estos caninos están siendo transportados con frecuencia a España desde los diversos barrios y callejones y de criadores registrados del este de Europa. Mientras están siendo transportados, estos caninos, algunos de tan sólo cuatro semanas de edad, están sometidos a condiciones desplorables e inhumanas. Por ejemplo, se transportan en vehículos mal ventilados, a menudo apilados en cajas que permite incrustantes a filtrarse en las zonas más bajas, esto es muy angustiante, una falta de higiene y podría dar paso a enfermedades graves. Hasta un 50% no sobreviven estos viajes. Una vez que llegan a su destino, grandes cantidades de dinero está intercambiado y luego los animales están sujeto a la seperación y la venta arbitraria y sin ningún tipo de registración, prueba de pedegrí, vacunación o garantía de devolución. A menudo aparecen en los escaparates sin protección adecuada contra el calor, sin seperación o refugio. Cada animal, dependiendo de su raza cuesta más de 600 euros. LIBRES DE IMPUESTOS! Queremos pedir en el parlamento Europeo y Español detener y regular está práctica para que estas personas no se les permite beneficiarse de estas acciones viles, crueles e inhumanas.
