Geo Television Network, Pakistan Idol Team, Q-Mobile, Pepsi, Mobilink, Bushra Ansari, Ali Azmat and Hadiqa Kiyani: Issue a Public Apology To The Contestant & General Audience.

The sole purpose of this petition is that the sponsors, judges and other stakes holders of Pakistan Idol issue a public apology to the general audience and specially the contestant whose confidence has been shattered.

The behaviour conducted on the show, Pakistan Idol sponsored by, Mobilink, Q-Mobile, Clear & Pepsi, aired on Geo Television, was uncalled for. Following is the link to the video:

Flashback: In Pakistan Idol talent show, judges Ali Azmat and Bushra Ansari & Hadiqa Kiyani humiliated a young man for his physical shortcomings (voice) which was very disappointing and left the contestant completely shattered and the audience in disbelief. Here was a young man with no other fault than the fact that he put himself out there on the minute chance that he could fulfill his dream.

Instead of behaving professionally and being a mentor, Mr. Azmat mocked the man who had found the courage to be judged in front of Pakistan simply because the contestant carried a high-pitched voice.

Lacking constructive criticism, Mr. Azmat tried to mimic his voice. Next, when the contestant talked about the song he wanted to sing, Mr. Azmat forced him to sing a ‘nursery rhyme’ instead. Meanwhile, Azmat’s fellow judge, Bushra Ansari & Hadiqa Kiyani, seemed to enjoy the situation and went along with Mr. Azmat's stunt.

We as general audience, demand a written public apology by the following:

1. Geo Television Network
2. Pepsi
3. Q-Mobile
4. Clear
5. Mr. Ali Azmat
6. Mrs. Bushra Ansari
7. Mrs. Hadiqa Kiyani
