Request that Councilor-at-Large Frank Gaglianese Resign

The Issue

Members of the Geneva Community have come together to ask for your support.

By signing the attached petition, you will be standing with numerous citizens of Geneva in calling for the immediate resignation of Councilman Frank Gaglianese.

The following is an account of the actions of City of Geneva Councilor at Large Frank Gaglianese and subsequent threats and civil discourse that followed.

On Friday, July 31st, 2020, Geneva Believer reported on comments made by Geneva City Councilor At-Large Frank Gaglianese on a video recording from a July 19th "Back the Blue Ride and Rally" at Lakefront Park (link to the video below).  In the recording, Gaglianese said these words...

"This is what the silent majority is all about.  This is the country, not the minority little squawkers that think that their voice is being heard, it's not.  This is what it's all about.  You keep poking the bear and more people like this will be coming out."

"They don't have the Balls.  Like the police accountability board, I don't even need to hear anything, my vote is no."

"The college did their whole thing, for police accountability.  If I could have got a gun and shot the squares on my computer screen and killed everybody...disgusting."

City Councilor Frank Gaglianese's comments are in direct violation of the City of Geneva Code of Ethics.

By signing this petition, you agree that Councilman Frank Gaglianese should resign and/or be removed from his role as a Geneva City Councilor at Large.  In addition, we petition that Frank Gaglianese no longer be permitted to hold any public office in the City of Geneva.
