Tell General Mills: Let that Rabbit eat some Trix!

The Issue

Let me take you back, back to the year 1954. General Mills produces a new cereal a cereal with "wholesome fruit-flavor sweetness." This cereal, was called Trix. Trix featured a cartoon on the front of the box. Yup, that's right, that box featured Brer Rabbit the Disney Character. If you don't know him look him up also look up Song of the South, of which he is in. The movie itself is accused of being racist, which it totally looks like it is.

But, in 1959, that all changed when Joel Chandler Harris created the Trix Rabbit. A rabbit who would try to "trick" children into sharing their Trix with him. Commercials featured him dressing up in costumes and trying to get some Trix for himself.

So I have 1 question for General Mills. Why can't that "Silly Rabbit" have some Trix cereal or yogurt? This poor starving rabbit who just wants something to eat. This tale of desperation is so sad and depraves the rabbit from a hearty breakfast. In a way the whole thing is a bunch of children bullying a rabbit for pure pleasure. Is that really what you want your kids to be taught? To refuse people their basic rights to Trix?

Now, I will address something right now. Yes he has been able to enjoy some of the fruit flavored goodness. But, answer me this, would you be willing to only eat your favorite thing in the world once and never taste it again? I think I rest my case.

Thank you again for your time and please show your support for this cause.
