Annie’s Homegrown (a part of General Mills) has done some rebranding and changing of some of its products. One of the biggest changes is the former Really Peelys to the new Fruit Tape. Our family is very conscious about ingredients and we do not eat cane or refined sugar. Some of the ingredient and nutrition changes are startling.

The total fat went from 1g to 2g.

The sodium went from 10mg to 55mg.

The dietary fiber went from <1g to 0g

The total sugars went from 12g (8g added) to 11g (10g added)

The iron went from 0.8mg to 0mg

Potassium went from 110mg to 0mg

We hope that this petition brings awareness to growing nutritional issues and that General Mills will go back to the old formulation. We know many kids and adults that prefer the Really Peelys.
