Employee & Community Safety Over Production!

Employee & Community Safety Over Production!
The Issue
General Dynamics - St. Marks Powder is one of the largest employers in Wakulla County, Florida, employing just over 400 residents of Wakulla and surrounding counties. As of March 29th, 2020 there were two confirmed Covid-19 cases of employees. But by March 30th the husband of the second confirmed case was transported by ambulance to the hospital, where on March 31st was put into a medically induced coma and placed on a ventilator in ICU, and is currently fighting for his life. And on April 1st, he become the third confirmed Covid-19 case arising from SMP negligence.
As we are all familiar with the evidence that proves how fast spreading and deadly this virus is, with the US now having over 186,101+ cases and Florida now having 6,955+ cases and climbing daily. General Dynamics - St. Marks Powder has not put their employees, and the residents of Wakulla county, and surrounding counties health and safety and well being first. They allowed an employee who traveled internationally to Spain during one of the largest epidemics in the history of the world to return to the plant in St. Marks to work for 3 days before sending her home to self quarantine, then on the 11th day she tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. At that time, 11 days later when the positive test results came back, the other employees she had been in direct contact with were then sent home to self quarantine. Those employees that were in contact with the positive employee worked 11 days exposing other employees to the Covid-19 virus, now within a few days there is a 2nd confirmed case at this plant, so now everyone that works with this 2nd confirm case has to be self quarantined, and there will be more positive cases to come arising from the way this matter was and is being handled. And there are employees and members of the community that do not think it's necessary to close this plant down to get this Covid-19 virus under control, and will say that this plant is an essential employer contracted with the US Government and is an entity of national defense, but we're not in that kind of war that requires gunpowder to be mass produced at this time, we're in a war against something that has no face or political agenda whatsoever. So how many more positive cases will there be before General Dynamics - St. Marks Powder realizes they are endangering the lives of their employees, their families and friends, and the residents of our community? Let's not wait to find out...
Time is of the essence. So if you're in agreement, that General Dynamics - St Marks Powder needs to do a better job of protecting the safety and wellness of their employees and families, and the residence of our community, then please help me by signing this petition that they will shut this plant down long enough to get the Covid-19 virus under control in our community. Thank you for your help.
