Give this years A-Level students what they deserve.

Give this years A-Level students what they deserve.
The Issue
I’m sure many of you are aware of this years shambles over A level results day and the atrocious handling by Gavin Williamson and the UK government. However very recently there has been slight change for good.
The very recent government change to allow all appeals to be paid for is welcomed but this is still not enough. However, despite it not being enough it is a good step and firm start in the correct destination for many pupils. We must keep fighting for considerable change.
I know thousands of pupils have been impacted by this including myself. At the start of the academic year I was predicted a very firm BBB which would have secured my place at my firm choice of university. However, with this years grading system I was awarded DDC which has stopped me from entering university and the grades I was awarded with in no way shape or form reflect my talent as an individual as I know I could have gotten BBB and possibly higher if I had sat the exams.
Thousands and thousands of others have experienced this unfair and unjust system which has significantly impacted thousands of students and has stopped them from progressing into their dream sector and as a result many of this generations futures have been robbed from them. There is very clear evidence when looking into private schools and state schools. In private schools this year the number of those that achieved top grades (A*/A) has increased by nearly 5% which is double that off state schools at around 2% and 10 times thats of sixth form colleges at 0.3%. This demonstrates how the system is heavily biased and how it has been designed to benefit the students in private schools more. However what is stopping me who attended a sixth form college from achieving those top grades as well? The answer is nothing at all. This very clearly shows the system created has been heavily biased and has even further impacted those in deprived areas and making those pupils suffer even more.
This shows how broken the system is and how things must change. We the students have that power to fight for change by emailing your local MP, attending marches (while following the coronavirus guidance as much as possible. Wear a mask, clean hands more regularly and keep distance where possible) and signing petitions like this one. We can make a difference and help many students futures get back on track and we can only do this if we come together as one.
To solve this unfair and unjust system, we are demanding for teacher grades to be awarded instead of the systems grades. This is due to those teacher grades come from those who know students’ work level and is far better than the current system. Only then when this change has been made can the system be seen as one that actually works for the students.
