Black Panther Party HQ into a historical landmark.

The Issue

1048 Peralta St. Oakland, CA was the Central Headquarters of The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in the 1960's & early 1970's and needs be a historically recognized landmark. At a crucial point in history the BPP from this location were a symbol of hope for the hopeless, provided legal aid and education of basic human rights, community protection from injustices & wrongful search and seizure in the major cities in which the Panthers resided, hosted People's Free Food Program, known today as "free-lunch programs" to those in need within the community, purchased and assisted in getting text books for children, founded the Black Student Alliance; a program designed to create unity among students and neighboring communities while offering financial aid, provided transportation for elderly citizens within the community to avoid being harassed or robbed in their commutes to and from their homes, firearm safety & firearm legal education, The Black Panther (Black Community News Service) was written and printed here, countless strategic meetings were held here, and a host of other community upliftment programs were formed and executed from this location. In addition to countless other moments of significance within the Party.

NEVER TAKE FOR GRANTED WHAT THEY FOUGHT FOR, IN THE MANNER THEY FOUGHT FOR IT, WHAT THEY SACRIFICED, AND THE TIMES IN WHICH THEY COURAGEOUSLY PERFORMED REVOLUTIONARY SUICIDE CONSISTENTLY!

ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE!!!

The former HQ remains as a privately owned residential property with its historical significance buried in time. Be apart of history and please help place The Central Black Panther Party HQ to it's rightful place in not only Black history, but American history.

STRENGTH IN NUMBER, WE CAN DO THIS TOGETHER!!!
