Please sign this petition to support the commutation of Jessie Milo.
In 2002 at age 22 Jessie was driving down the street with his girlfriend a car almost hit them Jessies girlfriend flipped them off .They came to confront his girlfriend and Jessie shot 2 of them both survived Jessie was found guilty of three counts of attempted murder with gun/gang enhancements and was sentenced to die in prison with 174 years plus 6 life terms.
Jessie is now 41 years old and has served over 18 years for his crime he is deeply remorseful for his actions and accepts responsibility.
16 state prison employees including 10 officers a Chaplin, registered nurse and psych tech, have all signed support Chronos stating Jessie exercises great care and patience in his work with inmates with disabilities it is evident from his exceptional conduct that he’s a changed person and if released would be a positive asset to his community he is trustworthy,polite,kind,goal orientated has positive values and good moral character and would be of better service to society if released.
As a kid Jessie wasn’t reenrolled in school after the 6th grade and at age 13 he started hanging out with the wrong crowd and ended up in a group home Today Jessie has a 4.0 gpa in college and separated himself from gangs in prison in 2010 he has voluntary completed over 2000 hours of self-help where he acquired positive tools to deal with life, as evidenced by his support Chronos
Jessie says: when I was young I was insecure and I thought I had to prove I was a man by using violence today I know who I am and I’m extremely sorry for my crime I plead for mercy despite being sentenced to die here I’ve changed my life after 18 years of growth and treatment I’m now in my 40’s and I am the man that my family and community deserve my release will benefit communities I will share with them what I have learned to empower them to make better choices thank you all for supporting me
I haven’t seen my mom in 18 years my family lost 4 people in sep 2020 my mom says she is holding on till I get home I’m doing everything I can to get home to her and the rest of my family
My stepdaughter was 4 when I went to prison and is now 23 in her 3rd year of college recently she asked me to hurry up and come home so I can walk her down the isle my goal is to make it to her wedding’
2,000,000 has been spent to keep Jessie in jail to date he’s rehabilitated its time to bring him home
