I know we all hate the uniform policy at Millikan High School so lets make a change! It is so unfair that all of the other LBUSD schools such as Poly, McBride, Lakewood,etc have free dress when Millikan and Wilson still have to buy the expensive uniform plus sports apparel that costs a lot more money than what we already have in our closets that we just get to wear on the weekends! We have started to follow the no more Millikan uniform on Instagram but the staff at Millikan still does not approve. I recently had a conversation with a Millikan student and she said that her family is not excatly the wealthiest. She continued telling me that her parents had given her 100$ for Millikan uniform to buy at ASB and she was only able to buy a few t-shirts and a sweatshirt for her money. That isn't enough for the students that are on a set income! With free dress students will be able to wear what they already have without spending way too much on the uniform here at Millikan that isn't even that good of quality. All Millikan students can make the change to end the Millikan uniform policy so that it better affects the students and benefits our daily routine! If we make the change NOW we can better affect even the incoming freshmans and freshmans to come! So are you going to just sit back or take the step towards fixing what should be fixed?
