There are 1,302 schools in LAUSD, 88 Neighboring Districts, 264 Four year colleges and 754 Community and Trade Colleges that will not be receiving a Commencement Ceremony due to COVID-19. At first schools understood the school closings and the cancellation of all end of the year activities, but NOW the state of California is giving permission to LA County to open Beauty Salons, Nail Salons, Barbershops, Dine i’m eating, and indoor shopping. The reason for us not having a Commencement is due to the large crowds and social distancing guidelines , but all of those ideas of being safe and protected when they allowed LA county to open all of the business! I can stand in line at target but i can’t graduate, i can sit down and eat but i cant graduate, i can go get highlights done at the beauty salon but i cannot graduate... I STAND FOR ALL THE CALIFORNIA

California gave LA COUNTY to “go back to normal” if you want NORMAL, NORMALIZE OUR GRADUATIONS

With this petition we want to ask Permission to have in-person graduation if all these districts outside the county, why can’t we make it work?
