Today, it was revealed that the FBI has classified the Proud Boys as an “extremist group with ties to white nationalism”.

What does this tell us? That the FBI, the Southern Property Law Centre, Facebook, PayPal, and Twitter all agree that the actions of Gavin McInnes and his Proud Boys are those of extremism or hate speech. One week ago. McInnes' touring partner Tommy Robinson was not granted a visa to enter the US.

Why is it then that Australia is rolling out the red carpet for McInnes on his upcoming tour? McInnes will make money off this tour: by granting him a visa to come here and appear at his speaking events, we are bankrolling the founder of an extremist hate group with ties to white nationalism.

Dr Kaz Ross of University of Tasmania today stated that after “the proposed tour of Australia by [Gavin McInnes], we would be expecting to see the Proud Boys really having a boost of membership and starting to come into their own - in numbers - in public.”

Imagine any other extremist leader coming into this country to monetise their hate speech in this manner. What is it about Gavin McInnes in particular that has prevented Immigration Minister David Coleman from intervening in this instance?

Truly, this is not a time to be stoking the flames of division and welcoming this dangerous form of violent extremism into Australia.

Time is running out - McInnes’ tour is just two weeks away. Australia should not be Gavin McInnes money-making pitstop on his road to violent extremism.

Can you help me? Can you pick up the phone now and call Immigration Minister David Coleman’s office on 02 6277 4188, and respectfully request he cancel McInnes visa?

Please continue to share this petition to make sure our Government takes notice.

Immigration Minister David Coleman: 02 6277 4188.

Thank you.
