Gas Station- 44th & White Eagle

Gas Station- 44th & White Eagle
The Issue
We are a group of concerned parents, property owners, and registered Manatee County voters that do not want to see a gas station at the corner of 44th Avenue and White Eagle Boulevard.
We are aware this plot of land has been zoned for commercial use.
However, many residents along this corridor strongly believe that placing a gas station on this corner would not be in the best interest of our community.
This location sits directly behind Central Park and across the street from Mona Jain Middle School and BD Gullett Elementary School.
This is a major concern and an unsuitable site for a gas station due to safety, traffic, and environmental concerns.
A gas station is an eye sore that will impact property values.
Ideally we would love to see businesses that truly serve and enhance our neighborhood — such as a daycare center (which would be a tremendous asset given the number of young families in Mallory Park, Indigo, Central Park, Aurora, Amber Creek, and surrounding communities), or other small local businesses that add value and convenience to the families who live here.
