I'm starting this petition to plead with the City of Jacksonville to lift the breed specific ban on all bull terrier dog breeds. To ban a dog breed is no different than banning a human race; and that would be outrageous. Animals are family members just as humans are. Lifting this ban will allow responsible dog owners to again have the breed of their choice. We should not be told which breed of animal we can or cannot have. If we want to make stricter laws regarding animals, then I suggest an offender list. If someone is found guilty of animal cruelty, neglect, or raising an animal to do harm, then they should be placed on an animal offender list and not allowed to own an animal of any kind, regardless of breed. Please help support this cause and stop the discrimination of bull terrier breeds.
