An estimated 3 million dogs and thousands of cats are slaughtered each year in South Korea.
From the moment of birth these Dogs are imprisoned in cramped, rusty cages with no protection from extreme elements, no access to water, exercise, or medical care, they also have their eardrums punctured to prevent them from barking.
These innocent Dogs and Cats are burned, boiled; or skinned...ALIVE. All because the people eating these poor souls have a twisted belief that physical torture yields better tasting meat.
South Korea will spend $13 billion dollars to host the 2018 Olympics and Pyeongchang organizers consider securing the participation of NHL players to be of critical importance, as ice hockey is one of the most popular sports of the Winter Games.
Gary Bettman President of the NHL has an opportunity to tell South Korea they will not be sending any of their NHL stars to the 2018 Olympics until they put an end to their Dog Meat trade.
In a recent poll conducted by the Defense of Animals and Coexistence of Animal Rights on Earth (CARE) shows a majority of South Korea people are against the eating of Dogs and Cats and want their country to close down their country's Dog-Meat industry.
The NHL owners, union, front office along with the NHL players have a rare opportunity to make a real difference in the world and help put and end to the slaughtering of millions of souls each year.
