Today “Members of Keep Our Library Public, and Project Minerva conducted a peaceful Human Art Protest to outline one-third of the space that Gannon is leasing on the first floor of the Blasco Library. Help us make this video go viral!

The computer lab occupied this space until it was moved to a less desirable location on the second floor. The other two-thirds of the leased space is behind this area, which includes the public meeting rooms seen in the video behind the glass and library staff offices not visible.

The addition of the Gannon Project NePTWNE Research Lab in the Blasco Public Library has been DICTATED to the public

YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD what is best for you and your tax dollars. Is that okay with you?

As of this writing we have 5,306 signatures - 4081 online and 1225 on paper copies.

We have had no say and our opposition continues to be met with character assassinations, disdain and we have been dismissed as "four or five old ladies on the street corner"

But we will not give up and neither should you.

We have no problem with Gannon’s Project NePTWNE, which addresses environmental issues, but we feel that the public library is the wrong location for it.

The library belongs to the people, and the public spaces should have priority. The people should be the ones to decide how library space is used and how it evolves.

Please ask others that you know who live in Erie County, PA and/or are Gannon Alumni anywhere in the world to stand up with us to demand this unethical lease be rescinded.
