BRENTON DAVIS AND GANNON KEEP SAYING "The Computer Lab on the 1st floor was moved there because of COVID in 2020."  NOT TRUE! It is one of the LIES (SEE LIST BELOW) repeated by Davis and Gannon to justify taking space in BLASCO for a Gannon Research Lab.

• COMPUTER LAB moved 1st floor in 2020 due to COVID
• RESEARCH LAB will be OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

• DAVIS/GANNON IGNORE the BLASCO LIBRARY MASTER PLAN (pictured above), Library experts and ERIE County residents and Gannon Alumni!
• This MASTER PLAN involved and was approved by the Erie County Library Foundation; Friends of the Library; and the Library's Advisory board, Library staff, and the PUBLIC!
• As far back as October 2015, public meetings were held about Expansion of Blasco Library's public computer lab and creation of a business,technology and idea center.
• October 19, 2020 Press release on the Master Plan “The revisions planned for Blasco Library are intended to MAKE the MOST DEMANDED SERVICES MORE ACCESSIBLE, provide updated MEETING AND WORK SPACES”
• MOST NOTABLE REVISIONS included moving the fiction collection and PUBLIC INTERNET LAB to the first floor!
• THE FIRST FLOOR WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE RENTED TO A PRIVATE CATHOLIC UNIVERSITY to build a RESEARCH LAB!
• LIBRARY SERVICES have already been AFFECTED on the first floor AND A DOMINO EFFECT will impact the 2nd floor.
• Computer lab and Collaboration Rooms AFFECTED!
• First Floor Staff offices and Information Desk AFFECTED!
• ACCESSIBILITY OF MOST DEMANDED SERVICES AFFECTED!
• OUTSIDE PARKING for library patrons will be AFFECTED!
• TAXPAYERS and ERIE COUNTY RESIDENTS AFFECTED!
• LIBRARY PATRONS AND STAFF AFFECTED!

1. Urge Gannon leaders to exercise their moral and ethical responsibility to rescind the lease and save their reputation.
2. Ask others who live in Erie County and/or are Gannon Alumni anywhere in the world who have not signed the petition to rescind the Gannon/Blasco lease to go to change.org/wronglocation
