National Catholic Reporter is a religious news source with global interests. Through its reporting and analysis, it covers the Catholic Church and wider religious, political and social forces shaping public policies and institutions. NCR is dedicated to the welfare of every human being regardless of religious belief, gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Throughout its history, it has been a voice for the disadvantaged, the marginalized, our hurting planet, and for all those forced to live in shadows. NCR tells their stories while holding authority accountable. In doing so, it has been and continues to be a beacon of hope around the world.
And now NCR decided to tell our story about the injustice being forced upon us by Brenton Davis, some members of County Council and Gannon University!
You can help us reach more people by sharing this article and information that sets the record straight. We are not against Gannon's Project Neptune.
What we are against:
The public had no say and our opposition continues to be met with false information, character assassinations, and disdain.
We have been dismissed as "four old ladies on the street corner everyday holding signs". This is demeaning and could not be farther from the truth! (As of this writing at 6:41 AM on 2/19/24 we have 5,400 signatures (online + on paper) from people of all ages who want to KEEP OUR LIBRARY PUBLIC!)
But we will not give up and neither should you.
