With the first appearance of the "Ideazon", and subsequent launch of the "Merc Stealth", SteelSeries had the best truly gaming keyboard on their hands. But despite being the best, this remarkable piece of tech was ahead of its time and largely under marketed to its target audience. 

Yesterday, my beloved Merc Stealth keyboard officially died (13 years of loyal service). Which is an impressive life span for what some now call a "Membrane Keyboard" that has a silicone sheet inside that works the button presses.

Today, high end computer gaming is at an all time peak (considerably more popular than back in 2007). And "Mechanical Keyboards" are all the rage among the elite in this gaming space. 

But in all these years, no other keyboard has ever attempted to solve the problem of extended gaming periods on a keyboard that was actually designed typing, not gaming. These box style designs encourage gamers to position their hands in unnatural and unhealthy ways for prolonged periods of time.

It's finally time that we see the wheel get reinvented!

The PC gaming world has evolved, and the days of specialized peripherals is upon us. And the time is now ripe for the appearance of the 'SteelSeries Merc Stealth V2 - Mechanical"!

Please join me in asking SteelSeries CEO, Ehtisham Rabbani to bring this remarkable keyboard into our homes once more. Now, it is unclear exactly how many signatures a petition like this would require, so let us band together with an overwhelming presence!
