Hold Chinese Factory Accountable for Destroying the Bolong Fenyo Wildlife Reserve

The Issue

On Monday May 22nd, Villagers of Gunjur in the Gambia discovered that the Bolong Fenyo Wildlife Reserve has been destroyed by the Chinese Golden Lead factory.

The water has turned red and all the animals are dead. Villagers of Gunjur now fear for their lives.

Pipelines have also been found going from the factory into the ocean where the factory is now dumping toxins and killing off the fish.

The Chinese factory must be closed down, the toxins disposed of in a safe manner, and the destruction of the Bolong Fenyo Wildlife Reserve rectified by paying the Gambian Ministry of Forestry & the Environment the estimated cost of rehabilitation. If saving this Reserve is too late, the funds must go to protecting other Wildlife Reserves from further destruction by greedy corporations that want to make a profit at the expense of the animals and their habitat.
