“I am totally apposed to putting a road through Merlin woods and since becoming a Galway city Councillor two years ago have actively campaigned against the road in the council chamber and in the local media and made a video in Merlin Woods which is on Facebook. It would be an act of environmental sabbotage to destroy natural woodlands that have been there for centuries if Galway City build this road.It must be apposed at all cost. I commend The Friends of Merlin Woods for their work in protecting the woods for future generations.”
