Oils such as soy, vegetable and palm are incredibly destructive to our rainforests and the biodiversity within them. As millions of acres of forests are cleared to make room to grow these oils we are losing precious animal habitats and species like the orangutan could become extinct in the wild within the next 5-10 years if we do nothing to stop it. The RSPO released new standards this week which prohibit deforestation of any kind. Companies should be forced to register and comply with RSPO standards or feel the backlash of the general public.
