Dear All,
First of all THANK YOU for supporting this campaign, and adding your name to the petition.
This is such a beautiful and remarkable part of the World, but has such a low, and ever decreasing population, that gaining many signatures is a challenge, and your support is truly appreciated.
Most of the landscape is accessible only by foot, and absolutely now 'The Land That Time Forgot!' hard now to believe it was once part of the Grand tour, popularised by Walter Scott, and visited and painted by all the great artists and poets of the time...
Ive been continuing to explore the landscape with drone and night time photography - again incredibly the landscape within the Teviothead Volcanic Complex has virtually never been photographed...
Ive posted some aerial shots on Google maps, and in a short time have gained over 200,000 views, which will hopefully help in raising awareness...
With regard to Muirhalls proposed windfarm on the landscape, 62 turbine ups to 240 metres tall, and 50,000 solar panels.
There seems to have been some misinformation about the early closing date for objections last year, and I have just been informed that objection can still be made for a short while yet.
If you haven't made a written objection yet, may I please impose upon your goodwill and ask that you consider doing so now - this will make a big difference I'm sure, and be greatly appreciated, helping to save the region as an asset for all...
An objection could be on many grounds, Cultural identity, Geological and Historical importance, enviromental, wildlife, and biodiversity, protected species, and nesting grounds etc the fact no proper surveys of any kind have been made on the footprint, and the efforts currently being made to preserve it as a National Park - that the region already has more than enough Windfarm and blanket forestry plantation...
Ill post with further updates in due course - Thank you! Best wishes, Ken:)
Please send your name, address, reason for objection, quoting planning application ref. ECU00003249 Teviot Wind Farm to,

Penchrise Penn is Volcanic Plug and Prehistoric Hillfort, overlooking the Iconic Queens Mire, the route Mary Queen of Scot took in 1566 to visit her injured Lover James Hepburn at Hermitage castle...
It also overlooks the Catrail, a prehistoric ditch and a division of Kingdoms...
