We feel medical cannabis is an alternative medicine that should be treated and viewed as such. We feel cannabis should be an available healthcare option to the patients who could benefit from it. We feel it should also be an available option to those wanting a healthier, more natural option in healthcare treatments. Cannabis has been proven to help improve quality of life for people who suffer from seizures, crohn's disease, several different types of pain and hundreds of other diseases and/or ailments. We feel cannabis is healthier and in some cases more effective than most pharmaceuticals being offered in our healthcare system. We also feel cannabis is a safer alternative in most pain management cases as there haven't been any documented overdoses or fatalities from the use of cannabis. This cannot be said about prescription medications, which is our only other choice when it comes to managing pain. Mr Herbert we can't thank you and everyone else enough that was involved with getting HB105 passed. We feel this is a huge step in the right direction of getting people the help they desperately need from cannabis. However, we feel that anyone suffering from similar types of ailments shouldn't be denied the same rights for wanting to treat their conditions with the same or similar types of treatments allowed in HB105. We're all hoping and praying that you'll consider this petition to legalize the use of medical cannabis in Utah as soon as possible. This would bring much needed help and relief to those who desperately need it so thank you for your consideration.
