Motel 6 located at 2330 W Bell Rd has long been a concern for residents in the area. The motel services the drug, prostitution and various other illegal activity population.  The population is so brazzen with their behavior that it is considered a dangerous area in the neighborhood. Most recently a shooting occurred on the property which resulted in a death.  There are homes, apartment communities and many schools in the area. Some of these children have to commute to school via walking or riding a bike. Motel 6 is located directly on the main traffic hub and would require these children to have to pass it.  This Motel 6 supports crime, human trafficking, illegal drug sales/use which contributes to higher crime rate and overall safety in the adjacent neighborhoods.  In addition Motel 6 should be held accountable under The Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act for what goes on at this property. Motel 6 should be required to close their doors for 1 years time to plan and execute a safer smarter way to conduct business. Several other Cities have done it, Phoenix could too.
