Thỉnh Nguyện Thống Nhất GĐPTVN tại Hoa Kỳ (English version below)

kính thưa quý ACE Lam Viên, và những ai quan tâm,

 

Đại hội Huynh Trưởng XII tuy quan trọng, nhưng chúng em tin rằng việc Thống Nhất hai tổ chức GĐPTVN tại Hoa Kỳ còn cấp thiết và quan trọng hơn rất nhiều. Đây không chỉ là tâm huyết của mỗi huynh trưởng thực thụ, mà còn là tương lai sống còn của truyền thống áo lam tại HK trong 10 năm tới — khi tre già dần khuất bóng mà lớp măng non vẫn còn thưa thớt, chưa đủ sức vươn cao.

Nếu chúng ta buông tay chấp nhận hoặc tự mãn với hiện trạng, thì vết thương chia rẽ không chỉ theo ta về nơi an nghỉ cuối đời, mà còn trở thành vết đen di sản mà không ai mạnh dạn ngẩng đầu trao lại cho hậu thế.

 

Hơn 20 năm qua, dù có nhiều nỗ lực giàn xếp, chúng ta vẫn chưa thành công vì đây là vấn đề đa cấp, đa tư tưởng, đầy định kiến với những uẩn khúc khó gỡ. Nếu lần này vẫn chỉ dùng cách thương thuyết hay nhường nhịn có điều kiện, kết quả e rằng cũng khó khác trước, bởi điều kiện luôn trắc trở và nhường nhịn thì có giới hạn.

 

Chỉ có phát tâm Bồ Tát, tâm Ba La Mật vô điều kiện — tâm hướng về mọi phương tiện để giúp người bên kia thành công — mới có thể mở được nút thắt này.

 

Với tinh thần đó, GĐPT Chánh Hạnh xin phép được đề xuất một bước đi nhỏ nhưng mang tính khởi đầu: kêu gọi tâm thư vô điều kiện gửi đến các BHD từ tất cả đơn vị của 2 tổ chức GĐPTVN, nếu quý anh chị LĐT & BHT cùng đồng tâm nguyện. Đây có thể là một cách để cùng nhau phát khởi tiếng nói chung — không phải để tranh luận, không phải để đòi hỏi quyền lợi , mà để mở ra một hướng đi mới.

GĐPTVN USA Reunification Grassroots Movement

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters of GĐPT, and those who may concern,

 

While the 12th Leadership Convention is significant, I believe that the reunification of the two GĐPTVN (Vietnamese Buddhist Youth Association) organizations in the United States is far more urgent and important. This is not merely the heartfelt aspiration of every Huynh Trưởng; it is the very survival of our "ao lam" tradition over the next ten years—a time when the older generation is gradually fading away while the "young shoots" remain sparse and not yet strong enough to rise.

 

If we simply give up, accept the status quo, or become complacent, the wound of division will not only follow us to our final resting place but will become a dark legacy that no one would be proud to pass down to future generations.

 

Over the past 20 years, despite many mediation efforts, we have not succeeded because this is a multi-layered issue involving differing ideologies, deep-seated prejudices, and complex, layered with difficult-to-resolve grievances. If we continue to rely only on negotiations or conditional concessions, I fear the results will be no different than before—because conditions always create obstacles, and concessions always have limits.

 

Only by cultivating a Bodhisattva heart and an unconditional Paramita heart—a mindset focused on using every means to help the "other side" succeed—can we finally untie this knot.

In that spirit, GÐPT Chanh Hanh respectfully proposes a small but foundational step: calling for unconditional open letters to be sent to the Convention from all chapters in both GÐPTVN ORGANIZATIONS , provided that you and your Chapter Board of Dictators share this common vow. This could be a way for us to raise a collective voice together—not to debate, not to demand rights or interests, but to open a new path forward.
