FYC: Jasmine Amy Rogers & BOOP! THE MUSICAL on the Tony Awards

FYC: Jasmine Amy Rogers & BOOP! THE MUSICAL on the Tony Awards
The Issue
Dear Tony Awards,
We'd LOVE for Tony-nominated Best Leading Actress in a Musical JASMINE AMY ROGERS to have a chance to take the stage at this Sunday's ceremony!
Here's why it'd be a BOOP-oop-a-doozy delight...
DID YOU KNOW...
- Jasmine is the first historically-correct Black woman to portray the iconic cartoon character
- Jasmine is a Jimmy Awards finalist with roots in Boston, MA and Houston, TX
- Jasmine is making her Broadway debut at 26 years old in BOOP! The Musical and has been recognized with
- Drama Desk Award WINNER for Outstanding Lead Performance in a Musical
- Outer Critics Circle Award WINNER for Outstanding Lead Performer in a Broadway Musical
- Theatre World Award WINNER for Outstanding Debut Performance
- Drama League Award NOMINATION for Distinguished Performance
- Chita Rivera Award NOMINATION for Outstanding Dancer in a Broadway Show
- Jasmine's eleven o'clock number by David Foster and Susan Birkenhead receives standing ovations from audiences 8 times a week
- As of now, Jasmine is the only Best Actress in a Musical nominee with a currently-running show without a featured performance scheduled for the telecast
JASMINE AMY ROGERS has the chance to represent not only herself and her nominated show, but young girls and black audiences across the country as the iconic "Betty Boop."
We ask that the Tony Awards and CBS consider including a performance on the telecast of "Something To Shout About" featuring Jasmine Amy Rogers accompanied by the show's Grammy-winning composer David Foster.
The Tony Awards are a platform that celebrate, elevate, and amplify the best of Broadway from this past season.
And we hope that you consider giving BOOP! The Musical and its nominated Best Actress the opportunity to be showcased on The 78th Annual Tony Awards this Sunday, live on CBS!
