The east coast has been battling with poor water quality and sewage problems for the last 10 years, redfish and trout are practically extinct in the Banana River Lagoon along with the Indian River and Mosquito Lagoon. Sea grass no longer exists in the Banana and Indian river which is crucial for the fishery! We have sewage spills frequently which just helps feed the algae bloom along with multiple fish kills! Guides and Recreational anglers have begged for catch and release in our waters until they can fix the water quality but nothing happens. How come the west coast can get a closure on its inshore fishery but we can’t? Please sign this petition so we can make our inshore fishery catch and release and hopefully save it from being totally wiped out!
