We, the undersigned residents, neighbors, motorists, pedestrians, and community members, respectfully call on the Los Angeles Department of Transportation, the Council District office, and the appropriate City departments to immediately secure funding for the approved traffic signal at Menlo Avenue and Rosecrans Avenue.

The traffic signal has already been approved. The remaining obstacle is funding. Our community should not have to continue waiting for this important safety improvement simply because the necessary funds have not been allocated.

Rosecrans Avenue experiences heavy traffic, making it difficult and potentially dangerous for drivers to enter, exit, or cross the intersection from Menlo Avenue. Pedestrians are also affected, especially children, seniors, and people with disabilities who may need additional time and protection when crossing.

We respectfully ask the City to:

Identify and allocate the funding needed to complete the traffic signal.
Place the project on a funded design and construction schedule.
Provide the community with the project number, estimated cost, current funding status, and anticipated installation timeline.
Consider temporary safety improvements until the traffic signal is fully operational.
Approval alone does not make the intersection safer. Funding and installation are necessary to complete the project and protect everyone who lives in or travels through the neighborhood.
