Hey everyone, I'm reaching out to highlight a pressing issue in our community—our stray cats and other animals desperately need safe shelters, especially as weather conditions worsen. As someone who has taken it upon themselves to care for several stray cats in my neighborhood, I see first-hand how much they suffer without adequate shelter. It's heartbreaking to watch them brave the cold, rain, and dangers from other animals without a warm place to go.

Currently, I personally feed seven stray cats and struggle to provide them with the proper shelter they desperately need. But it's not just about feeding them; it's about offering these animals a safe and secure space. Our city can do more to address this growing concern, and that's why I'm calling on the Atlanta City Council to step up and fund shelters specifically for our stray animals.

Investing in animal shelters is not just an act of kindness but also a crucial step in promoting a healthier, safer environment for both animals and residents. A dedicated effort to fund these shelters could prevent countless animal suffering and also reduce potential hazards in our neighborhoods. We need the city leaders to recognize this need and act responsibly by allocating resources towards the care and protection of these vulnerable members of our community.

Each act of support, whether it's a kind word, a share, or a signature, brings us closer to our goal of making Atlanta a leader in humane treatment of animals. I'm asking you to sign this petition urging the Atlanta City Council to provide necessary funding for the development of animal shelters. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for these strays and build a more compassionate city for all. Thank you for your time and support.
