I work as a volunteer at Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) and have personally felt the Texas heat. My heart breaks for all of the animals that have to live in it outside. The scorching temperatures in Austin can reach over 100°F during summer, making it unbearable for the animals without proper cooling systems.

Currently, many of the shelters lack adequate air-conditioning, putting these animals at risk of heatstroke and other heat-related illnesses. By funding new buildings equipped with air-conditioning, we can ensure a safer and more comfortable environment for these vulnerable creatures.

Let's come together to urge the city of Austin to allocate funds towards building new, air-conditioned facilities for APA! Sign this petition to help provide a better quality of life for our furry friends.
