I would like to request that a forced closure is put in place for the theme park Fun Spot in Orlando, Fl during the COVID-19 pandemic. As most of the country and world have seen, Florida does not seem to be taking this situation seriously enough. Fun Spot appears to be one of those businesses taking too lax of an approach to this dilemma we are all facing head on. I get that staying open puts a few extra dollars into the employees’ pockets, but those few days of pay won’t make the pandemic go away. On top of that, Orlando has a great deal of visitors with compromised immune systems who visit the theme parks and attractions via programs like Give Kids the World. The failure to make smart choices at this stage could cost lives. And quite unnecessarily. This is NOT a joke.

The wise action of all of us banded together could be the difference between weeks and months or months and years. Please make it clear, on even the most basic level, to Fun Spot and the state of Florida how important it is to listen to what’s being said and take action NOW! 

Please join me in fighting for the closure of this park until we can all get through this.
