Vector Indicator on HUD element - Elite Dangerous

Vector Indicator on HUD element - Elite Dangerous
The Issue
Elite Dangerous features a Flight Assist as part of base flight mechanics which is available for toggle. When turned off the pilot has to control all three axes of their craft respectfully rather than have the ship correct two axes and the pilot having to correct one (main thruster or front of ship axis).
When flight assist is disabled, the pilot is able to turn the craft to different angles while the same direction of movement (or vector) is maintained due to the craft's momentum in the simulation. However, there is no indication of the direction the craft is moving in any way, leaving a pilot who flies without flight assist with guessing or using 3rd party software to adjust the motion particles (or "space dust) shader to create a makeshift indicator.
I suggest that Frontier Development consider to add some form of HUD element which presents the craft's vector of movement to allow pilots who play without flight assist to have better and more accurate control over their craft. This HUD element should be subject to the same canopy breach effects and disadvantages and be included and activated manually through the HUD functions tab (or future representatives of that area in the HUD).
Vectoring instrumentation is present in modern day aviation, stellar aviation as well as many other fields of technology and it should also be a trivial feature present in the year 3304.
Vector instrument display on the HUD will also assist new players in understanding the mechanics of space flight as depicted in Elite Dangerous and thus allow for a slightly smoother learning curve. And if applied to Super-cruise translation in space could provide better indications to pilots on when their approach speed is too fast as well to planetary landings towards the effects of gravity in addition to the existing numeral gravity reading.
I implore Frontier Development to consider this suggestion which would only push the game up on the facets of immersion, ease of use and enjoyment and of course simulation.
