Develop a remake of Dog's Life (with the original PS2 version included as a Classic mode)

Dear Frontier Developments

It has been almost 15 years since the game Dog's Life was first released in Europe for the console Playstation 2. While the game didn't sell well back in the day and had mixed reviews, since then, the game has achieved a cult estatus among the gaming community, becoming famous for its gameplay and especially because of its ending, both of which have caught the attention of many players, including some famous Youtubers like GameGrumps or OfficialNerdCubed.

In a time where remakes and remasters of old games are trendy, this game deserves to be brought back as a remake for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. I would like to propose the following ideas for this project:

-An unlockable mode titled Classic mode which includes the HD port of the original game released in 2003, running at 1080p 60fps and with a language selector for the subtitles and voices.

-For the remake, add the following changes:

-Day and night cycle: one hour or more of gameplay will result in a 24h day. If all the missions and dog-related challenges aren't completed the first time you visit a level, new ones will appear that are far more challenging (this includes the location of the different smells) This doesn't mean that for every day new missions have to be programmed. I realized after replaying the game that some objects can be grabbed by the dog but have no purpose, this made me think that the developers wanted to include more missions but had to rush the game's release.

-Make the behaviour of NPCs more realistic, if for example Jake 1) blocks the path for a car or motorbike for an amount of time; 2) pees, farts or defecates in a supermarket (for example) or does those actions to people; 3) or annoys NPCs with his barking a lot. This would result in NPCs refusing to give him food (which could be stored in a safe place for the night, like a hole dug by him), blocking the access to buildings, calling a dog catcher or not paying attention to him.

-During the night you must sleep, otherwise no matter if Jake (the main character) has eaten bones or any other kind of food, his performance at missions will be massively worse.

-Jake must take the train during a certain period of the day, if you miss it, your progress on the game will be affected (which means you will take more in-game days to finish the game) Clocks and speakers can be placed in each station to let the player know which time of the day it is and when the train will leave the station.

-Three different endings: the original one, a more comical and light-hearted version of the original ending, and a Bad ending. For the Bad ending, if you don't save Daisy during a certain amount of days, when you come across the villian you will have to run away from her and ensure she and his employees don't catch you. Then, there could be a gameplay segment where you need to gather clues and bring them to the police (a clue for example could be letting the dogs inside the cages instead of freeing them)

For the original ending you will have to finish the game during that period of time, and for the alternate version of the original ending you need to complete 100% of the game.

-A Multiplayer Mode where you compete against all the dogs of the game at the same time. The challenges could be racing, collecting more bones than the other dogs or stealing them, and so on. You can play it alone, with more players on the same console / PC, or online.

These are all the ideas I can think of for this project. Please take them into consideration for a remake of Dog's Life.

Yours faithfully

Da igual si has comido o no, si no has dormido estas serán mucho más díficiles.
