For over a decade, Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) fans have bowed to the master of the midnight movie block: Larry Kurtzberg, better known to his loyal viewers as H.R. Bloodengutz.

From his unforgettable 2011 debut in H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror to his triumphant, blood-soaked prison breakout in 2026's H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!, Larry has proven he is much more than a mere background character. He possesses the deep lore, the fanatical cult following, and the perfect blend of camp and terror required of HHN royalty.

His tragic transformation from a struggling actor to a deranged TV host is directly orchestrated by Lady Luck herself, tying him irrevocably to the center of HHN lore. Yet, despite headlining multiple houses and capturing the hearts of horror fans worldwide, he remains classified as an "original house character" rather than an official Icon.

We, the dedicated fans and "Followers of the Feaster Bunny," believe it is time for a promotion. We are officially petitioning Universal Creative to elevate H.R. Bloodengutz to the elite pantheon of official HHN Icons alongside Jack the Clown, The Director, and Dr. Oddfellow.
