Excellent reporting on the Vic Highs Alumni's position and our rebuttal at the heart of the issue.
The Vic High Alumni continues to promote and raise funds for the originally envisioned MSRP that everyone was supporting (including the City of Victoria) and donating funds to, even though they are now publically admitting they endorsed (months ago) an alternative plan that was never fully disclosed to the public.
"According to Stephen Dorsey, a spokesperson for FOVH, any association that raises funds through donations from the public has a “fiduciary obligation” to disclose changes.
It’s like if they raised money for a new school bus and then without disclosure, went ahead and bought a Mini Cooper. It’s just not done,” he said.
We need the whole story to come out and the interest of Vic High students protected. Promises made should be promises kept.
