Hello Friends! As we get closer to our County Commission vote, I wanted to thank you again for the continued outreach and support for Ascente'. Your voice is making a difference in our community and it hasn't gone unnoticed. With that being said, our fight is far from won and we need to continue to gain as much support as we can. The silent minority is loud and continue to bully our elected officials with threats and scare tactics. I am beyond motivated to fill the room when we go in front of County Commission with community members who really are excited to see where our community is going and to get the Ascente' project approved- HOUSING PROJECTS OF ALL SIZES ARE NEEDED! So I ask you to save the date and consider joining us on Tuesday, August 8th around 1:30pm in front of County Commission- details will be announced as we get closer. In the meantime, here's what I also need (as little or as much as you can is appreciated, I understand with summer, it's hard to commit). Write a short sweet email addressed to all of our County Commissioners with "I SUPPORT THE ASCENTE' DEVELOPMENT" in the subject line. They are being bombarded with threats against their re-election if they vote for this project. Put out your feelers to one or two friends or family who might be willing to join us at county commission on the 8th. They don't need to speak unless they want to, but I need them in the room to balance opposition Share the link privately (not yet on Facebook because we will do that last minute) on the Change.org petition as I will be sending that to County Commissioners the day before.
