Many of us went to Toms River South and NOT ONCE did we ever think it was dishonorable or a disrespectful shot at the American Indians. Over one hundred years of History, Spirit, Pride and Tradition down the drain because people are suddenly getting offended when this was settled years ago. Toms River South has been known as “The Home of the Indians” since 1891 and to change the mascots of such a historic school seems unimaginable.
