Calling all Sunbirds,

I am asking the Fresno Pacific University Board of Trustees to immediately resign.

Today’s announcement indicating a third wave of layoffs despite accepting millions in COVID bailout money indicates years of financial mismanagement at the highest of levels on campus.

The University preaches the FPU idea, but we have seen ‘Christian leaders’ censor free speech on campus for students, The Syrinx newspaper, and now NDA’s tied to severance packages for laid off employees.

Fresno Pacific University’s bankruptcy would be an earthquake felt across the Central Valley. As the only accredited Christian institution servicing more than five different cities, it would add to the higher education gap and teacher shortage across Fresno Unified. The closure would also have a negative impact on the neighborhoods in Southeast Fresno.
