JOIN US TO PROTEST—NUMBERS COUNT— Please invite all FREMONT residents to show their concern for Fremont. 6:30 PM, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 1 AT CITY HALL, 3300 Capitol Ave at Liberty Street, Fremont Mayor Harrison, who sets the agenda for CC meetings postponed a vote to approve ANOTHER 670 units of high-end apartments (at Walnut and Guardino) off of the October 18 calendar. The schedule was not so full that this item could not have been given full attention. However, HE could not afford to be SEEN approving yet another massive development, just before election day. Seeing this, many of us wrote to request that the vote be delayed until after the new council is seated. Mayor Harrison’s response was to schedule the vote for November 15, THE WEEK AFTER THE ELECTION. Clearly, he did not want to leave the approval of this project to chance.
