#FreeIranians: End the Regime’s Weaponization of Water, Power, and Information

The Issue

In the wake of the recent 12-day war, the Iranian regime has intensified its repressive grip on the people — not only through arrests and executions, but also by deliberately cutting off access to water, electricity, and the internet, making daily life unbearable for ordinary Iranians.

Recently, courageous citizens have taken to the streets chanting:
"Water, Power, Life — these are our basic rights!"

Despite being one of the world’s richest countries in natural resources, Iran is facing an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, Iran holds the world’s second-largest natural gas reserves and the fourth-largest proven crude oil reserves.

Yet, the Iranian economy is collapsing. The International Monetary Fund reports persistent negative GDP growth, with inflation nearing 50% and youth unemployment over 27% .

The country’s wealth has been siphoned off by government-linked mafia networks and funneled into funding terrorist organizations like Hamas, and developing nuclear and ballistic weapons programs rather than serving its own people.

To make matters worse, the regime has launched a war on information, disrupting and blocking internet access to prevent citizens from sharing their stories and organizing. Those who try to speak out — journalists, students, women, even children — are surveilled, arrested, and in many cases, executed.

This is not just mismanagement — it is hostage-taking. The people of Iran are prisoners of a corrupt and brutal regime.

We demand that:

  1. The international community speak out forcefully and take immediate action against these escalating human rights violations.
  2. Western democracies, including the U.S. and the E.U., publicly condemn the deliberate infrastructure sabotage and increase diplomatic and economic pressure on the Islamic Republic.
  3. Iranian opposition leader Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and global human rights organizations amplify the call for the fall of the regime and support the Iranian people’s fight for freedom.

We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with the Iranian people. We call on governments, media, and global citizens to help end this reign of terror. The people of Iran deserve water, power, information, and life — not imprisonment in their own homeland.
