Hey, everyone! So on June 27th, 2017, the finale of Pretty Little Liars aired and "A.D." was unmasked. I thought the culprit in the hoodie was Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto), as did most of the fandom. We all thought it was and wanted it to be her, as it made much sense. In the finale, this did occur, however Torrey/Melissa was shown in a hoodie. It was revealed that the person in the hoodie was Mona in a Melissa mask. But we saw her three times before the unmask. So the reason for the petition? I'd like to ask (or more so beg) the writers to give us theorists one gift. One thing that wouldn't effect the show at all. One thing to please the majority of the fandom left even the slightest bit unsatisfied by the reveal. One thing that could even clear up some plot holes: Reveal that Melissa actually was the "A" in the hoodie during at least one of those scenes. It wouldn't be hard at all to explain that Melissa simply was sent by "A.D.", whether willingly or blackmailed like Mona, Sydney, and Aria, to watch the girls that one time and Mona showed up in the mask as well during the other. One small detail to please the majority of the fandom. Melissa has been blackmailed by "A" to do things before and it was left open but wasn't a major problem. I don't want to sound like some whiney child who didn't get their way or something like that. It's just that many many many people in the fandom had amazing theories about Melissa that didn't get any justice but easily could this way. And besides, Marlene King has confirmed that Wren, Melissa and Alex were always her three choices for "A.D." and two of those people actually were involved in it. The ships got their wish, so I'm asking from the bottom of my heart that we can get ours very simply. If you feel the same way please sign this petition to show your support.
