HOMs is starting in our own state of Maryland to lobby for the quality education of choice to be accessible to every child. Homeschooling is rapidly growing across the U.S. and multiple states like Maryland are not fully caught up.

Tax paying families are choosing alternative education paths for their children's specialized needs and currently receive no access to the public funding structures that support it. Public school students are funded through taxpayer dollars, homeschool families are required to fully fund out-of-pocket

  • curriculum
  • enrichment programs
  • supplies
  • books
  • tutoring / aid
  • learning therapy
  • technology
  • other educational resources

This creates a growing equity gap.

HOMs is the number one fastest growing homeschool admin and information support for American homeschool families. Advocating for the introduction of policies such as Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), which would allow families to access a portion of education funding to support their child’s learning. Supporting homeschool families is not only equitable, but in the long-term cost-effective for the state. So there's no excuses!

HOMs is urging Maryland legislators to explore and implement policies that reflect the evolving landscape of education and support all families in their educational choices and we need YOUR VOICE to stand with us to make this change happen now and for future generations!
