An email has been sent on 26th september (yesterday) , 2023, waiting on response.

Namasthe KCR sir,

This is Dr.Chandra Shekar Aravala (Physical Therapist/Physiotherapist in India) working in USA. I am a gold medalist from former President of India, Dr.APJ  Abdul Kalam, MPT (Gold medalist), Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Arcadia University , USA.. My idea is to bring change in providing E wheelchair services throughout Telangana state.

E-wheelchair service have been started by Indian railways, which provide the service free of cost to differently abled, senior citizens, sick and needy (not defined). There are 212 railway stations in Telangana, only Secunderabad railway station has E-wheelchair service, which accounts to 0.004%. Totally 99.99% of the railway stations are deprived of this service. I request the honourable chief minister of Telangana, KCR, to extend the E- wheelchair service to 99.99% of the remaining railway stations.

My recent experience  in telangana: My father who is a senior citizen, had both knees replaced, has neuropathy, balance problems and high fall risk (Berg balance score 20/56, cut off score is 45 meaning less than 45 an individual at high fall risk) has been travelling from Secunderabad to Srikakulam, The lift was not working, he had to walk long distance, uses a stick, could not make it to the 3AC compartment, time was ticking the station was busy as usual, so I had boarded him in second class compartment. He had luggage and was travelling alone, walking with a stick, had great difficulty to get to the 3AC. The E-wheelchair service awareness neither he had nor I had. Senior citizens like my father, Impossible for physically handicapped and mentally handicapped, women travelling with children in stae of Telangana are suffering because of limited E-Wheelchair services (0.004%).
I started a petition to move forward this movement of extending E-Wheelchair service throughout India (Nation wide). From your side please do the needful to extend the service to all the railway stations of Telangana. You get the best wishes of people. The link to the petition is below, please do the needful. Sarve Jana Sukhinobavantu.
Thank you
