A year ago, my life took an unexpected turn when I suffered a stroke. It was a frightening experience that left me grappling with physical and emotional challenges. However, amidst the turmoil of my recovery, I found solace and strength in reconnecting with my faith.
As I navigated through the difficult days, leaning on my spiritual beliefs became a cornerstone of my journey towards healing. Prayer and meditation provided me with a sense of peace and resilience, helping me to face each day with renewed determination. In the quiet moments of reflection, I discovered a profound sense of gratitude for the gift of life and the support of my loved ones.
Yet, amidst my personal struggle, I couldn't help but notice another battle being waged – one that struck at the heart of religious institutions: the financial burden imposed by high interchange rates and transaction fees imposed by banks and payment platforms. These unjust charges have long been a source of concern for churches, mosques, synagogues, and Buddhist temples alike.
It's disheartening to see the institutions that provide spiritual guidance and support to communities around the world facing such financial challenges. These fees, whether from interchange rates, EFTs, SnapScan, Pay Shap, or others, place an undue strain on already stretched budgets, diverting much-needed resources away from vital services and outreach programs.
In my journey of recovery and rediscovery of faith, I've come to recognize the importance of standing up against injustice in all its forms. That's why I've decided to advocate for change – not just for myself, but for all those who rely on the invaluable contributions of religious institutions.
Together, we can raise awareness about the financial struggles faced by religious organizations and call for fair and transparent practices from banks and payment platforms. By amplifying our voices and championing this cause, we can work towards a future where faith communities can thrive without being hindered by financial burdens.
As I continue on my path of recovery, I am filled with a sense of purpose – a commitment to both my personal journey of faith and the collective fight for financial justice. Through adversity, we find strength; through unity, we enact change. And together, we can ensure that the light of faith shines brightly for generations to come.
