We The People ask that you drop any and all charges against international civil rights activist Dana Beal in the interest of exercising fairness, humility, and an eye toward the best interests of the country as a whole and as a matter of compassion and justice for all.
Dana Beal was held in Gooding County Idaho under an excessive bail of $250,000 for charges of trafficking and Failure to Purchase a Marijuana Tax Stamp for more than one month of time served.
Dana Beal is internationally recognized for his life-saving research and advocacy for drug addiction treatment protocols involving plant medicines such as Cannabis, Medical Marijuana, and Ibogaine.
Dana Beal is internationally recognized for his work with Cures Not Wars distributing Medical Marijuana to legitimate patients suffering with AIDS or cancer or terminal and chronic illnesses. 
On May 6, 2023, the Mayor of New York City recognized Dana Beal and the Youth International Party for their historical role in the "medical and social benefits of Cannabis" and "commitment to building a brighter future".
Dana Beal does not meet any of the legal definitions or intent of "drug trafficking" or "criminal activity".
Dana Beal does not even drive, but does exercise his right to travel with his belongings.  Beal had no intention of remaining in Idaho, nor even stopping in Idaho, had he received roadside assistance rather than an arrest.
Pre-existing mandatory minimums and plea bargaining practices make a fair trial inherently problematic.
Dana Beal, a survivor of multiple heart attacks, was incarcerated without a proper medical evaluation for more than a month.  The incarceration of 77-year young Dana Beal does not serve to protect the people, nor does it help cease any criminal activity.
