On Friday, May 1st, 2026 we'll be starting our weekly power hour series in support of Ismail. This is meant to be done on a lunch break so please let me know if we need to adjust day or time for you to join the zoom (even if only to say hey) and give feedback on what has been working or needs improvement for posts and scripts.
Our first Power Hour will be hybrid. We will be gathering at the New Haven Green, 250 Temple Street, for a series of programming starting with ULA's yearly May Day festival at Noon, followed by speeches at 3p and ending with a march, which will start at 5pm. We will be on social media and engaging with posts from 12P to 1PM!
We will be collecting signatures for our petition to legislators and interviewing fellow May Day goers to get their reaction to the injustice of Ismail not only being wrongfully convicted, incarcerated, but also only earning $28 a month for his work at Cheshire Correctional Institution.
